Dear Dr. Todd and the staff at All Pro Health,

Thank you for all of your expertise in treating me as I trained for my first Ironman! Everyone always asks me if I had any injuries from training, and I tell them “NO! But only because I saw Dr. Todd every week!” I truly believe my body would not have been able to endure the 7 months of training and racing I did without my weekly appointments with you.

Whenever I was hurting after a workout, I couldn’t WAIT to get into your office. My IT BAnd would be screaming “I need Dr. Todd!” I really appreciated all the individualized attention and all the time you took to work with me. Before my race my family collected letters of inspiration from everyone and in your letter you told me “Pain is temporary, Ironman is forever.” I wrote that quote on a little piece of paper and taped it to my bike and looked at it when I needed some motivation to keep going and stay positive.

You helped me both physically and mentally to cross the finish line of my first Ironman and experience the best day of my life!

THANK YOU!!!

P.S. Love the nickname you gave me!

My name is Tom Partyka and I’m 51 years old. I came to ALL-PRO HEALTH with a calf and later, knee issues while training for Ironman Lake Placid. From their Graston and Active Release Techniques to Physical Therapy and Kinesiotaping, I was able to not only finish but complete the race in a time I didn’t think possible (12:09:17). Dr. Todd with his diligent work ethic helped me achieve my goal of becoming an Ironman. Thanks!

I began treatment at All Pro-Health in February 2013 while training for my first half Ironman triathlon in June. My workouts were being hampered due to persistent right upper hamstring pain for the past year. There were times that I couldn’t run, and even going from seated to standing position caused debilitating discomfort. Traditional treatments of rest, physical therapy, and NSAID usage all failed to make my leg pain free. I was discouraged.

Within two weeks under the care of Dr. Schragen, I has a significant decrease in pain. The Graston Technique and Active Release Therapy (ART) were employed and they worked! The best part of being treated with these modalities was that I continue training for my triathlon. My leg continued to improve and I was even able to run a half marathon only five weeks after initiating care with Dr. Schragen.

While my hamstring pain resolved, unfortunately in early April I sustained a stress fracture in my lower left tibia from running. Walking caused intense pain and running was impossible. I Thought my dream of committing the half Ironman was dashed. Dr. Schragen remained positive and treated my tibia with laser and other strategies. Dur yo his care, I became stable enough to swim and bike and keep up my fitness level.

In June I was able to fulfill my goal of completing my first half Ironman. The treatment I received at All Pro-Health was a major influence in helping me reach this accomplishment. I am grateful of the individualized care and ongoing support for  Dr. Schragen and all of the staff at All Pro-Health.

In College I became an All-American in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters, and later joined Team USA, an Olympic development running program.  In 2004 I was the youngest competitor to qualify for the U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials. Running gave me so much joy, and I was thankful to be able to compete.

When I was 24 however, I became extremely ill and within a year had to quit running altogether.  I was crushed that I had to stop doing what I was so passionate about. Most days I was not able to get out of bed and for several years struggled to walk around the block. I was diagnosed with a metabolic muscle disease and my condition quickly became disabling. For several years I sought care from OVER A 100 DOCTORS, none of whom could find a way to improve my worsening illness.

That is, until I met Dr. Todd Schragen early in 2011.  I hadn’t run for years, so after several appointments I was thrilled just to be able to stand and walk with less pain.  However, Dr. Schragen did not stop there and was committed to helping me gain my life back. Because of his continued treatment and expertise, I have been able to start running for the first time in 6 years. Last month i was even able to compete in a half marathon.

I am so thankful for the incredible care I received from Dr. Schragen at All Pro Health as it enabled me run, something I never thought I would be able to do again.

Thank You All-Pro Health

I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Schragen when I was training for my third Ironman, and the timing couldn’t possibly have been better.  After two and a half years of constant, chronic pain from a herniated cervical disc and thoracic outlet syndrome, I was convinced I’d exhausted all of my options for conservative treatment.  By the time I met Dr. Schragen, I’d already been treated by four chiropractors, two acupuncturists, three physical therapists, two pain management M.D.’s, and had had a variety of diagnostic testing.  I had significant weakness, numbness and tingling in my left arm, and everything from folding laundry to swimming the 2,800+ yards that my training plan called for was painful.

I was immediately impressed with the amount of time Dr. Schragen spent with me during each visit, and his genuine concern for defining and treating the root cause versus the symptom. Through his skillful combination of a variety of treatment techniques and modalities, I saw measurable improvement in both strength and range of motion within my first two weeks of treatment, and for the first time in years experienced a pain-free existence.

The incorporation of physical and yoga therapies at All-Pro Health complement Dr. Schragen’s treatment exceptionally well, and are a testament to his desire to provide his clients with The Best.

It is rare to find a practitioner who so expertly combines skill and intuition to achieve results in such a short time frame.  I am grateful to have found Dr. Schragen and the team at All-Pro Health, and will continue to be their biggest fan as I train and compete in endurance sports!

Todd,

I can’t thank you enough for getting me across the finish line in Kona at the Ironman World Championships. Without your help I couldn’t have achieved one of my lifelong goals, not to mention a personal best of 11:49.11 in an Iron distance race. You are great at what you do.

When I set out on my Ironman journey, I knew I had  to surround myself with a great team - that meant a great triathlon coach and a great physical therapy team.  I logged over 600 hours of training for the Ironman and my body took a beating. Twelve weeks before the Ironman, the pain in my feet (plantar  fasciitis), legs (IT bands) and back were so severe that I questioned whether my body could handle the physical limits I was imposing. The team at All-Pro Health was instrumental in my recovery.  I could not have made it to the starting line of the Ironman if it wasn’t for the expert treatment I received at All-Pro Health. The team at All-Pro Health helped me achieve my dream of completing the Ironman in 11 hours and 20 minutes....Thank you!

I'd like to personally attest to how awesome Dr. Todd is! He was at Lake Placid this past weekend and I was having a little trouble with my upper back two days prior to the race. Dr. Todd treated me and I then felt perfect going into the race. I went on to have the best Ironman of my life hitting a 11:07:xx on the tough Lake Placid course. Then he helped me with some treatments for my legs for recovery immediately following the race. I literally can't say enough enough great things about Dr. Todd. If you're having any issues, go see him!
